New Creation

Adapted from Isaiah 65:17-25

The Lord says,

“For I am about to create a new heavens and a new earth;

The former things shall not be remembered or come to mind.

But be glad and rejoice forever in what I am creating;

For I am about to create Jerusalem as a joy, and its people as a delight.

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox.”

Lord, help us to bring about this new creation even here today.

Adapted from 2 Corinthians 5:17-20

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

That God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We remind one another in our service of worship:

Be reconciled to God.

Adapted from Colossians 3:1-4

Pastor: If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

All: Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

Pastor: For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

All: When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
