Epiphany

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

He will judge the people with righteousness and defend the cause of the poor.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

The mystery of the ages is revealed; the eternal plane of God is known to all.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Let us kneel down before him to give him honor, glory, and praise.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Let us offer him all the treasures of our hearts and our lives.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Adapted from Jeremiah 17:7–8; 1 Corinthians 15:12–20

Leader: Let us praise God, who gives living water, through which the faithful flourish.

People: Like trees planted by the water, God, are those who trust in you.

Leader: Like trees with deep roots are those who place their faith in you.

People: Like green trees in winter are those who receive their life from you. All: We praise you, God, for life that has no end, through Jesus our risen Christ!
